These Terms govern your use of the Taled waitlist and pre-launch website (the “Site”). By browsing the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit your email.
1. What this Site is
Taled is being built as an Australian peer-to-peer marketplace for preloved books. On this Site we may:

collect waitlist sign-ups;
This Site is not a live marketplace. You cannot buy or sell books here yet. Joining the waitlist does not create a seller or buyer account, does not reserve inventory, and does not guarantee access, features, or launch timing.
When the marketplace opens, separate Terms of Use, Seller Terms, and related policies will apply. We will ask you to accept those before you trade.
2. Who may join

You should be at least 16 years old to join the waitlist.
•
Provide an email address you control and keep it accurate.
•
Do not submit someone else’s personal information without permission.
3. Waitlist
•
We may email you about Taled’s launch and related updates.
•
We may close, reopen, or manage the waitlist at our discretion.
•
We may refuse or remove sign-ups that appear abusive, automated, or unlawful.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
•
misuse the Site (including scraping, attacking, or overloading it);
•
attempt to break security or access systems you are not meant to use;
•
use the Site for unlawful content or spam;
•
misrepresent who you are.
We may suspend access to the Site if we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been broken.
5. Intellectual property
Taled branding, logos, site design, and content we publish are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them for commercial purposes without permission, except as allowed by law (for example fair dealing).
6. Disclaimers

The Site and waitlist are provided on an “as is” basis while we build the product.
•
Launch features, timing, and availability may change.
•
To the extent allowed by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), we exclude warranties that are not legally mandatory. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.
7. Liability
To the extent allowed by Australian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Site or waitlist. Our total liability for any claim about the Site or waitlist is limited to AUD $100, or any non-excludable remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, whichever applies.
8. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms for that use.
10. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia (where we operate). Courts in Australia may hear disputes.
